Everything You Need to Know About LupaVita Vitamins

LupaVita™ is a multivitamin with the goal of raising vitamin levels that may be seen as deficient in autoimmune patients. Research has debated the strength of the correlations between Lupus disease activity and vitamin levels (Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, Magnesium). We always recommend taking a blood test from your doctor to measure you vitamin levels before and after taking LupaVita™ autoimmune vitamins. This will give you a better indication of how well your body is absorbing the vitamins.

At LupaVita™ we hope that by raising vitamin levels, you may see less disease activity. It is important to remember that each Lupus case is different, so please bring this to your doctor to make sure LupaVita™ is right for you.

LupaVita vitamins for lupus are all natural, non-GMO, soy & gluten free, with no harmful additives. Our vitamins are also vegan friendly.

LupaVita Lupus Vitamins Ingredients

What vitamins and supplements are good for treating lupus naturally?

Vitamin D: It has been studied that higher levels of Vitamin D are associated with less severe lupus disease activity. Vitamin D is one of the most common deficiencies seen throughout Lupus patients, especially as the majority of people with SLE also have photosensitivity, meaning they have to avoid the sun which is usually a primary source of Vitamin D3.

Turmeric Root: Curcumin, a bioactive derivative of the spice turmeric, has been tested over the last several years for it's antioxidant properties and anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin helps Lupus patients by suppressing inflammation before it begins. Turmeric may prove useful for reducing oxidative stress, improving endothelial function or proteinuria in SLE.

Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 is known as the energy vitamin because of its positive effects with treating fatigue. Its essential for hair, skin and nail health. Vitamin B12 has been shown to help with regulating a healthy nervous system, reducing depression, brain fog and stress. In another NIH study, there was a correlation between SLE patients with anemia having lower levels of B12.

Magnesium:  Magnesium is important for maintaining health in the heart, bones, muscles and nerves. Adding Magnesium to the LupaVita™ formula may reduce the risk of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium levels have also been seen as a marker for disease activity in SLE patients as well.

Flaxseed Powder: The essential fatty acids (Omega oils) in flaxseed oil are one of its key healing components. Essential fatty acids work throughout the body to protect cell membranes, keeping them efficient at admitting healthy substances while barring the damaging ones. Flaxseed is also known for it's benefits with joint pain and kidney health. Flaxseed has been seen to assist with lipid levels in Lupus patients as well.

Cherry Extract: Cherries are known for their anti-oxidant properties. Eating cherries daily has been shown to reduce inflammation, provide joint pain relief, reduce muscle pain, and lower the risk of stroke. Cherries are recommended for nutrition and a balanced diet of someone diagnosed with Lupus.

Zinc: Zinc helps support the immune system and protein synthesis in the body. In the skin, zinc assists in proper structure of cell membranes and improves rashes and wounds. Zinc also has anti-inflammatory effects and protects against UV radiation.

Selenium: Selenium increase the body's production of glutathione, the master anti-oxidant in the body, helping to keep the body from attacking itself.

Vitamin C: The lists of benefits regarding Vitamin C are endless. Some of the most noteworthy include protection against immune deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease and skin rashes and legions.

Vitamin E: This essential vitamin is known for its antioxidant properties. Since inflammation is responsible for widespread tissue damage in Lupus, Vitamin E aids in the delay of inflammation process. These vitamins also prevent cell damage which leads to joint pain.

Calcium: Calcium supports bone strength in Lupus patients and reduces high blood pressure as well. Individuals with lupus are at increased risk for osteoporosis for many reasons. Calcium may help with reducing the risk of getting osteoporosis.

Black Pepper: By adding black pepper to the LupaVita formula we have enhanced Turmeric's (Curcumins) bioavailability. This will ensure Turmeric will be absorbed at a much higher rate.
